Description
The Arc Eye Hawkfish is a stunning and hardy marine fish, featuring bold red to orange hues with a distinctive white, crescent-shaped mark near its eye, giving it its name. Known for perching on coral or rock formations, it watches over its territory like a hawk, hence its name.
It is semi-aggressive, so it’s best to avoid housing it with smaller, more passive fish or invertebrates. Though it can be kept in a reef tank, it may pose a threat to smaller crustaceans. A carnivore by nature, its diet should include meaty foods like shrimp, fish, and crustacean flesh. The Arc Eye Hawkfish thrives in well-established aquariums with plenty of hiding places and rockwork.
