Description
The Asfur Angelfish, native to the Red Sea, is a striking and large angelfish species known for its bold color pattern. Its deep black body is interrupted by a vivid yellow vertical stripe, with the tail fin being entirely yellow. This angelfish is both beautiful and hardy, making it a popular choice for experienced marine aquarists.
While semi-aggressive, it can coexist with other large, similarly tempered fish. However, it should be housed in a large aquarium with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding spots. It may nibble on corals and invertebrates, so it’s important to monitor it in reef tanks. A diet of both marine algae and meaty foods will ensure its health and vibrancy.
