Description
The Banded Cat Shark is a strikingly patterned, bottom-dwelling shark with black and white bands running the length of its body. This species is best suited for highly experienced aquarium keepers due to its size, specific care needs, and large tank requirements. It requires plenty of swimming space and hiding spots such as caves.
The shark is a carnivore and will primarily feed on a diet of meaty foods like shrimp, squid, and fish. While peaceful, its large size and predatory nature mean it should not be kept with small fish or invertebrates. As it grows, it will need even larger tank accommodations. It is a remarkable addition to well-managed aquariums but demands expert care.
