Description
The Bi-Color Anthias is a stunningly vibrant fish known for its striking combination of purple and yellow coloration, making it a beautiful addition to a reef aquarium. This species, native to the Indo-Pacific region, has a peaceful temperament and does well in community aquariums with other non-aggressive species. Bi-Color Anthias are active swimmers that thrive in tanks with plenty of rockwork and swimming space.
This Anthias is a planktonivore and feeds primarily on zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, it can be offered a diet of small meaty foods like mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, and other planktonic fare. Regular, small feedings throughout the day are recommended to meet its dietary needs. Bi-Color Anthias are reef-safe and typically do not harm corals or invertebrates, making them ideal for a peaceful reef environment.
