Description
The Bicolor Chromis is a striking small fish that adds a sense of calm beauty to any marine aquarium. Characterized by its sharp contrast in color, the Bicolor Chromis has a black front half and a pearly white back half, making it a unique addition to the tank. This species is ideal for beginners and experienced aquarists alike due to its hardy nature and peaceful temperament.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, this fish thrives in a tank with plenty of swimming space and some hiding places among live rock. Being a peaceful species, the Bicolor Chromis is an excellent choice for community and reef aquariums, where it coexists well with other non-aggressive fish and invertebrates. Its diet is omnivorous, and it will readily accept a variety of foods, including flake foods, pellets, and small frozen foods like mysis shrimp.
Due to its small size, the Bicolor Chromis does not require a large tank but prefers being kept in small groups for comfort and security. With proper care, it will reward its owner with lively activity and a serene presence.
