Description
The Blue and Red Tile Star is a strikingly beautiful starfish that stands out in marine aquariums due to its unique coloration, featuring vibrant blue arms with red patterns. This peaceful starfish is an excellent choice for reef aquariums, as it is reef-safe and poses no threat to corals or other invertebrates. However, it requires stable water conditions and a well-established tank with ample live rock for grazing.
As an omnivore, the Blue and Red Tile Star feeds on algae, detritus, and small microorganisms found on live rock, helping to keep the aquarium clean. Supplementary feeding with small pieces of marine food may be needed if natural food sources are scarce.
