Description
The Blue Face Koi Tang – Grade B is a variant of the Koi Tang with less distinct color patterns compared to the Grade A variant. While it still features the striking Koi-like markings, the blue on its face is less vibrant and the overall color pattern may be slightly more subdued. Despite this, it remains a captivating addition to an aquarium, particularly for those who appreciate more subtle color variations.
Like its Grade A counterpart, the Grade B Blue Face Koi Tang requires a spacious tank with plenty of live rock to graze on algae. It can exhibit territorial behavior, especially towards other tangs or similarly shaped fish. However, it is generally reef-safe and will not harm corals.
Maintaining a proper herbivorous diet is crucial for this species, including marine algae and high-quality pellets. This fish is a wonderful choice for experienced hobbyists looking for a unique but slightly less intense coloration in their aquarium.
