Description
The Blue Spotted Leopard Wrasse is a visually stunning fish with an intricate pattern of blue spots on a green background, adding a vibrant touch to any aquarium. Known for its active swimming habits and peaceful demeanor, this wrasse is a captivating yet challenging species to care for, recommended only for experienced aquarists due to its specific care needs.
This wrasse is reef-safe and known to forage among live rock and sand, feeding on small invertebrates. It requires a mature tank with plenty of live rock and a deep sand bed to allow it to bury itself when stressed or resting. Its diet should be protein-rich, including meaty foods like brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and other small crustaceans. Due to its delicate nature and specialized needs, the Blue Spotted Leopard Wrasse can be difficult to acclimate and may not thrive in tanks with aggressive or boisterous fish. However, in a peaceful, well-established reef tank, it can become a prized and beautiful addition.
