Description
The Carberri Anthias (Male) (Pseudanthias carberryi) is a stunning addition to any reef aquarium with its vibrant pink and yellow coloration. The males of this species display a striking contrast between the yellow dorsal area and the pink lower body, making them a beautiful centerpiece for any reef setup. They are peaceful fish, making them excellent tankmates for other reef-safe species.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, the Carberri Anthias thrives when kept in groups, as they naturally school in the wild. They are best suited for large, well-established tanks with plenty of swimming space. A minimum tank size of 125 gallons is recommended to accommodate a group of these active swimmers.
As carnivores, Carberri Anthias feed on zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, they require a diet rich in meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other finely chopped seafood. Multiple feedings throughout the day are recommended to keep them healthy and vibrant. They are also reef compatible, posing no threat to corals or invertebrates, making them a perfect choice for a peaceful reef environment.
