Description
The Cluster Duster (Bispira spp.) is a unique and colorful member of the feather duster family, often found in groups with multiple feathered crowns that add intricate beauty and movement to reef tanks. Its peaceful temperament and relatively easy care requirements make it a great addition for both beginner and experienced aquarists. Cluster Dusters display a blend of pink, white, and brown colors, with each crown gently swaying in the water to capture food particles.
This species thrives in moderate water flow, which aids in filter feeding by delivering micro-plankton, phytoplankton, and other fine particulates. Supplemental feedings of marine snow and liquid plankton will also help support its health and growth. Cluster Dusters anchor themselves in sand or rock crevices, and once settled, they are sensitive to sudden changes in their environment.
Due to its non-aggressive nature, the Cluster Duster coexists well with a wide range of reef-safe tankmates. With stable water conditions and regular feeding, this feather duster will thrive and add fascinating, natural behavior to a peaceful marine setup.
