Description
The Luzon Spot Fin Anthias (Pseudanthias luzonensis) is a striking species known for its soft pink and peach coloration with beautiful golden-yellow patterns along its body. This Anthias also features a distinct spot on the dorsal fin, adding to its visual appeal. The fish is peaceful and a wonderful addition to a community reef aquarium.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, the Luzon Spot Fin Anthias thrives in large tanks where it can swim freely. This species prefers to live in groups, mimicking its natural schooling behavior, and requires a minimum tank size of 125 gallons. It does well in reef aquariums, posing no threat to corals or invertebrates.
As a carnivore, the Luzon Spot Fin Anthias feeds on zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, it should be offered a varied diet of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other finely chopped meaty foods. Multiple feedings throughout the day are recommended to maintain its health and vibrant coloration. This species is an ideal choice for aquarists looking for a peaceful and colorful fish for their reef environment.
