Description
The Midnight Angel is a captivating fish that stands out due to its striking, solid black body. Its dark, velvety appearance brings a sense of elegance and mystery to the aquarium. Though smaller in size, the Midnight Angel makes a bold visual statement with its smooth, understated form.
Originating from the Indo-Pacific, this angelfish thrives in well-established aquariums with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. It can be housed in reef setups with caution, as it may nip at soft corals and invertebrates like clams. Providing a balanced diet of marine algae, spirulina, and meaty foods like mysis shrimp will ensure the fish maintains its health and coloration.
With a maximum size of 4 inches, the Midnight Angel is well-suited for tanks of at least 70 gallons. Its semi-aggressive behavior means it should be kept with similarly tempered tank mates to prevent any territorial disputes in the aquarium.
