Description
The Ninja Astrea Snail, also known as the Spiny Star Astraea, is a small but highly effective algae-eating snail. Its shell is distinctively spiky and rugged, giving it a unique and striking appearance that stands out in reef aquariums. These snails are excellent at cleaning up diatoms, green algae, and other nuisance algae that can accumulate on rocks and glass in the tank. They are reef-safe and do not harm corals or other invertebrates, making them ideal for community reef tanks. However, care should be taken when placing them in tanks with unstable rockwork, as their shape and size may cause them to get stuck in small crevices. The Ninja Astrea Snail requires little maintenance and will actively graze for algae, contributing to a cleaner, healthier tank environment. Approximate Purchase Size: 0.5″ to 1″
