Description
The Red/Orange Linkia Star is a peaceful and visually stunning sea star species, commonly known for its bright and vibrant red or orange coloration. It is popular in reef aquariums due to its reef-safe nature and calm temperament. This species prefers mature reef systems with plenty of live rock to graze on algae and biofilm. The Linkia Star requires pristine water conditions and stable water parameters, as it can be sensitive to fluctuations. It feeds primarily on algae and detritus but may need supplemental feeding, especially in newer tanks. A well-established reef aquarium with ample hiding spots and surface areas is ideal for this sea star. While relatively hardy for its species, it is important to avoid exposing the Linkia Star to air, as it may not tolerate it well. Handle with care and acclimate slowly when introducing into a new tank environment. Approximate Purchase Size: 3″ to 6″
