Description
The Personifer Angel (Chaetodontoplus personifer), also known as the Personifer Angelfish or Personatus Angelfish, is a stunning addition to larger saltwater aquariums with its bold color pattern. This angelfish displays a deep black body with vibrant yellow and blue accents, complemented by a distinct white band near the head, giving it a unique and captivating appearance.
Personifer Angels are semi-aggressive and best kept in a large aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and live rock for grazing. Due to its size and territorial nature, it should ideally be kept as the only angelfish in the tank or with other large, non-aggressive fish. Though it can adapt to a reef tank, caution is advised as it may nip at coral polyps and sessile invertebrates.
An omnivore by nature, this angelfish requires a varied diet of marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, and occasional meaty foods like shrimp. It is recommended for experienced aquarists due to its specialized care requirements and the need for a stable and well-maintained environment.
