Description
The Red Sea Raccoon Butterflyfish is a visually striking species known for its bright yellow body accented by black raccoon-like markings around its eyes and dark diagonal stripes across its body. Native to the coral reefs of the Red Sea, this butterflyfish is peaceful but may show minor territoriality. It thrives in well-established aquariums with plenty of live rock for foraging. While it can adapt to a variety of foods, including algae and prepared foods for omnivores, caution is advised if adding to a reef tank, as it may nip at corals and anemones. This species is ideal for aquarists with moderate experience.
