Description
The White Line (Bursa) Trigger Fish, known for the distinctive white line on its body, is a captivating species that brings unique personality and beauty to the home aquarium. With its streamlined shape and bold markings, it stands out among other marine inhabitants. This triggerfish is semi-aggressive, making it best suited for tanks with similarly tempered tank mates or a carefully monitored community of marine species.
Native to the Indo-Pacific region, this triggerfish requires plenty of swimming space and hiding spots, which can be created with rocks and caves. While generally reef-compatible, caution is advised as it may nip at smaller invertebrates or corals. It’s best housed in larger tanks with sturdy tank mates.
As a carnivore, the White Line Trigger Fish enjoys a diet of meaty foods, including shrimp, squid, and other marine proteins. Feeding it a varied diet helps maintain its health and vibrant colors.
