Description
The Yellow Tilefish is a beautifully colored, peaceful fish that displays a gradient of yellow along its body, transitioning to white toward the tail. Known for its calm temperament, it makes a great addition to community tanks with other non-aggressive tank mates. However, due to its natural shyness, it should be provided with plenty of hiding places and rockwork to feel secure.
This species is primarily a carnivore and thrives on a diet of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality frozen foods. While generally safe in reef setups, caution is advised, as the Yellow Tilefish may occasionally nip at small invertebrates if underfed.
The Yellow Tilefish is a moderate-care species, recommended for aquarists who can provide a stable tank environment with hiding spaces and a sandy substrate for burrowing behavior.
