Description
The Yellowback Fusilier is a vibrant schooling fish known for its striking coloration, with a bright yellow dorsal area transitioning to a brilliant blue lower body. Commonly found in the Indo-Pacific region, this fusilier thrives in larger aquariums that provide ample swimming space and are best kept in groups to mimic their natural schooling behavior.
A peaceful species, the Yellowback Fusilier adapts well to reef setups and is generally safe with other non-aggressive tank mates. They are omnivorous and require a diet that includes both meaty foods and vegetable matter, such as mysis shrimp, plankton, and spirulina-enriched foods.
Due to its active nature and size, a spacious tank is necessary, and strong water flow is appreciated. The Yellowback Fusilier is a visually engaging addition to community and reef tanks, where its peaceful temperament and schooling behavior create a dynamic display.
