Description
The Guinea Fowl Sappo Puffer is a striking species with a unique black body covered in small white spots, mimicking the appearance of guinea fowl feathers. This large, semi-aggressive puffer requires a spacious tank with ample room for swimming and hiding spots among live rock or décor.
It is not reef-safe, as it may nip at corals, invertebrates, and smaller tankmates. The puffer thrives on a carnivorous diet of meaty foods such as shrimp, squid, and clams. They are known to have a bold and curious personality, making them entertaining but somewhat challenging to house due to their size and aggression. Regular care is needed to ensure their teeth do not become overgrown.
