Description
The Aurora Goby, also known as the Yashia Goby, is a peaceful and colorful addition to any reef aquarium. With its striking white, orange, and red body and a uniquely shaped tail fin, it quickly becomes a favorite for aquarists. This species tends to form symbiotic relationships with pistol shrimp, creating a fascinating dynamic in the aquarium.
Aurora Gobies are carnivores and prefer a diet of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. They are reef-safe and enjoy burrowing in sandy substrates, often hiding in rock crevices. Due to their relatively small size, they can be kept in nano tanks, making them suitable for a variety of marine setups.
