Description
The Banded Sleeper Goby (Valenciennea helsdingenii), also known as the Bullet Goby, is a hardy and peaceful fish perfect for keeping a sand substrate clean. With its distinctive horizontal white and brown stripes, this goby is easily recognizable. This species spends its time sifting through sand, removing food particles, and maintaining the substrate of your tank.
As a carnivore, it feeds on small invertebrates and detritus found in the sand. It is best kept in a tank with a sandy substrate to allow for its natural behavior of burrowing and feeding. The Banded Sleeper Goby does well in peaceful community tanks and is compatible with reef environments.
