Description
The Bartlett Anthias (Pseudanthias bartlettorum) is a beautiful and vibrant fish with a striking color combination of pinkish-purple on its body and a bright yellow dorsal stripe that extends through to the tail. Known for its peaceful temperament, the Bartlett Anthias is an excellent choice for a reef tank, coexisting peacefully with corals and other invertebrates.
Native to the reefs of the Indo-Pacific, this species prefers to be housed in groups, mimicking their natural schooling behavior. A minimum tank size of 70 gallons is recommended to provide ample swimming space and comfort.
As a carnivore, the Bartlett Anthias feeds on zooplankton in the wild. In captivity, it should be fed a diet of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other finely chopped meaty foods. Multiple feedings throughout the day are suggested to maintain its vibrant coloration and health. This species is reef compatible and ideal for peaceful reef setups.
