Description
Bennett’s Puffer, a member of the Tetraodontidae family, is known for its vibrant colors and unique markings, featuring shades of green and yellow with intricate blue and orange patterns on its face and body. This eye-catching pufferfish originates from the Indo-Pacific region and requires a tank with ample rockwork and hiding spots.
This species has a semi-aggressive temperament, especially toward similar-sized or slow-moving tankmates. Bennett’s Puffer is not entirely reef-safe, as it may nip at small invertebrates or coral polyps. It thrives on a carnivorous diet of meaty foods like shrimp, squid, and clams, with occasional hard-shelled items to help keep its beak trimmed. Given proper care, Bennett’s Puffer can be a fascinating and colorful addition to a species-specific or carefully chosen community aquarium.
