Description
The Picasso Triggerfish, also known as Humu Humu (Rhinecanthus aculeatus), is a visually striking fish with a bold pattern of colors that resembles abstract art, including shades of blue, yellow, black, and white. Known for its distinctive body shape and impressive coloration, this triggerfish adds a unique charm to any marine aquarium.
Picasso Triggerfish are semi-aggressive and require a tank with plenty of hiding spaces to establish territory. Though they may be housed with other semi-aggressive fish, caution is advised when introducing them to a reef setup, as they might nip at invertebrates or small fish.
Being carnivorous, they enjoy a varied diet of meaty foods such as shrimp, squid, and fish, which can be supplemented with quality marine pellets. They are moderately hardy and can adapt well in well-maintained tanks with stable water conditions, making them a captivating choice for experienced aquarists seeking a lively, colorful addition to their aquarium.
