Description
The Red Goatfish is a striking species known for its bright red color with contrasting pink and white stripes. With barbels on its chin used for sifting through sand in search of food, this fish is an active forager and adds both movement and color to the aquarium. As a carnivore, it thrives on a diet of meaty foods and can benefit from a substrate that allows it to explore naturally. While generally peaceful, caution is advised in reef tanks, as it may disturb certain invertebrates while foraging. The Red Goatfish can grow relatively large, requiring ample space and a well-maintained environment.
