Description
The Solor Painted Fairy Wrasse, or Cirrhilabrus solorensis, is a captivating and colorful addition to any reef aquarium, known for its vibrant hues of pink, yellow, and orange. This small, beautiful fish is native to the reefs of the Indo-Pacific, where it can often be found darting in and out of coral structures, displaying its stunning colors to attract mates.
Typically reaching a maximum size of about 3 inches, the Solor Painted Fairy Wrasse thrives in a well-maintained aquarium of at least 30 gallons, where it has space to swim and explore. Its peaceful temperament makes it an excellent choice for community tanks, as it generally coexists harmoniously with other non-aggressive species.
As an omnivore, this wrasse enjoys a varied diet, including high-quality flakes, pellets, and frozen foods like brine shrimp and mysis shrimp. For optimal health and coloration, it is beneficial to provide a mix of meaty and plant-based foods.
